Why the Straps?

A quick backstory on how I arrived on the design...

It started with the desire to make cycling gear out of natural fibers. I considered what a traditional jersey made out of cotton would look and feel like and quickly realized it was not the right move. You'd lose that skin-tight fit because of the lack of stretch, and once that's gone the traditional silhouette just doesn't make sense.

I knew that cycling t-shirts were on the market, there was just an obvious flaw in the design... as soon as you put so much as your phone in one of those pockets the shirt will sag and start tugging on your shoulder or neck. Having the sensation of invisible hands pulling you backwards while you're trying to feel fast on the bike is just a non-starter for me.

Our patent pending integrated waist straps solve this problem. By securing the straps around your upper waist, the load of the pockets is suspended to and supported by your body. This eliminates bouncing, tugging or swaying of the pocket load or garment itself while you are moving. When it comes to the pockets of a cycling top, functionality matters and you aren't sacrificing anything by wearing an Algodón tee.

The functionality doesn't stop there tho...

Our pockets are removable via zippers. Once your ride is done and the hang commences, remove the straps and stow them in your pocket. You now have the chill of a normal t-shirt.
